A Trip to Kejimkujik National Park

A weekend in Nova Scotia usually entails making some sandwiches, a flask of coffee and packing up the car with hats, scarves and golves before heading off in some random direction not quite sure what you are going to find.

This weekend was no exception so fully kitted out we headed to Kejimkujik National park via a few dirt tracks and first nation settlements.

After some poor navigation from me (the map doesn’t always correspond to the few scattered road signs) we decided to swap places i.e. Cameron navigate and me drive. I successfully managed to freak him out, drifting in some mud and testing out our car a little (although it now has a few extra teeth marks/nail scratches in the inside of the passenger door).

After the fun in the mud we decided to venture of the dirt track down a little side road in order to get an amazing lake view.

Driving in Canada / Exploring the sites

Drove for the very first time on the wrong side of the road and I was driving a big truck! Very exciting, now just need to persuade my husband to buy me the big truck! After driving big trucks we headed to Cherryhill beach where sadly the tide was in but we had a little walk and saw some loons (Northern Divers) so now I know what the bird on the CAD $1 piece looks like.
